EXPERIENCE

Various Clients, Present — Visual Designer (Freelance)

Instil, 2022 — Brand Marketing Intern

Working as a brand marketing intern, I learned how to conduct market analysis and competitive research to inform brand positioning strategies alongside my creative deliverables for Instil. Collaborating with both the marketing and design teams through various mediums provided opportunities for creative critique and interdisciplinary learning. While reporting directly to Marketing Management, my daily contributions included administrative tasks and creative projects such as blog imagery, slide/pitch decks, and asset documentation/organization.

Snap Inc., 2021 — Snap Design Scholar

Chosen as one of 15 design scholars from a competitive pool of designers within the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, I honed my creative expertise in typography, photo manipulation, and illustration. Additionally, I developed stronger communication skills when collaborating across disciplines and by learning new tools and integrating them into my creative process, I was able to improve my efficiency and the effectiveness of my concepts.

Sole Folks at Leimert Park, 2020 — Graphic Designer II

As 2020 seemed to be the year of historical events, a new academic endeavore at ArtCenter College of Design allowed my cohorts and I to collaborate with local partners to support and empower Black and minority-owned companies and brands throughout Los Angeles. The course was structured like a design consultancy, with students fulfilling creative roles and providing design services and deliverables – including brand and product strategy, brand identity, product design and environmental design services.
